Gems are the universal resource in Mio.2. This guide brings together the questions we hear most often: what Gems are, how to get them, when your quota refreshes, and where to check your balance.

What are Gems?

Whether you’re chatting with Mio.2 or generating images, both draw directly from your Gems. Gems are the single unit of measure for every feature in Mio.2, so you don’t have to keep separate track of “chat counts” and “image counts.”

How do I get Gems?

There are four ways to get Gems:

Log in to Mio.2 with a verified PixAI account to receive 300,000 Gems.

② Subscription Plans

Mio.2 offers three monthly plans: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The higher the tier, the more Gems you get each month. Annual plans are coming soon, so stay tuned.

Gem Usage Limits and Refresh Times

Mio.2 runs two Gem usage limits in parallel. The caps vary by subscription plan, and hitting either one pauses your usage.

Your allowance refreshes automatically four times a day, at these times (UTC+9):

If you run out during the current window, you can continue at the next refresh. On top of that, your total weekly allowance resets every Monday at 07:00 (UTC+9), so if you use up the week’s allowance early, you’ll need to wait until the following Monday. Here are the caps for each plan:

Billing Cycle Usage Cap

To keep performance stable and reliable for everyone, Mio.2 membership plans also set a cumulative usage cap for each billing cycle. Your billing cycle matches your membership subscription cycle: if you subscribe on the 25th, for example, that cycle runs from the 25th of one month to the 25th of the next.

Once you reach that cap in the current cycle, chat and image generation in Mio.2 are unavailable until your next billing cycle begins. If you’d like to continue right away, you can buy an extra Gem Pack to top up your usage. Here are the billing-cycle caps by membership tier:

Where can I check my Gem balance and usage?

You’ll find both in the bottom-left corner of the page:

• Settings → Gem Usage: your remaining allowance right now (the 6-hour and 7-day allowances)
• Settings → Plan & Usage: how much of this billing cycle you’ve used, and how much is left

How many Gems does each chat or image cost?

There’s no flat per-use price. The cost is worked out on the fly from how much computing a task actually takes: a simple chat costs very little, while complex image generation and multi-step creative tasks cost more. It’s the same way LLMs work. Mio.2 has to read what you’re asking for, plan the steps, and then generate the result, and that workload is different every time.

Because you’re charged by actual usage, you never overpay for simple tasks. The easiest way to get a feel for your own pace is to watch your usage move under Settings → Gem Usage.

Is there a daily login reward?

Not at the moment. The 300,000 starter Gems are a one-time welcome bonus for new users. If we run any Gem-related events in the future, we’ll post the details to our official channels and the blog, so keep an eye out.
