What’s New in Mio.2

Two Modes, Each with a Job

Mio.2 runs in two modes: Ideation and Default. Not sure where to start? Head into Ideation and just talk — it’ll help you brainstorm, refine your ideas, and land on a clear creative direction. Once you know what you want, switch to Default and start generating. You can output multiple images at once, making it easy to compare and pick your favorite.

Language Model × Output Quality — Mix and Match

Click the icon on the left side of the input bar to open the settings panel, where you can choose your language model (Kotone / Sena / Osaki) and output quality (Standard / High Quality).

Kotone is the default — super fast, covers the vast majority of requests, and really gets the anime and illustration vibe.

Sena is available for Silver and Gold members, while Osaki is exclusive to Gold members; both are designed for extremely complex tasks.

The language model shapes how Mio.2 interprets your requests, while output quality affects the level of detail in the final image — mix and match based on what you need.

What Can You Make with Mio.2?

Manga Storyboarding & Sequential Storytelling

Try starting with something like: “A girl discovers a magic book in a ruined library and gets pulled into another world — help me storyboard this.”

Once the mood and style are confirmed, Mio.2 automatically breaks the story into scenes, writes a prompt for each one, and generates the corresponding images. Character design and art style stay consistent throughout — line them up and you’ve got a complete visual narrative.

What used to require a professional storyboard artist and hours of back-and-forth? Now it starts with one sentence.

AI Character Design from Scratch

Tell Mio.2 the direction you have in mind — something like “I want to design an OC: a dark elf magic swordsman. Help me flesh out the details — outfit, hair color, weapons, everything.” After locking in the style, it’ll generate a full character illustration right away.

From there, you can keep going in the same conversation: three-view sheets, expression variations, a Chibi version, a D&D card format — all with consistent proportions and art style throughout.

Outfit Changes & Styling

Upload a reference image, then tell Mio.2 what you want: “Switch to a maid outfit,” “Add cat ears,” “Put her in a school uniform.” It only changes what you asked for — the face, body, and art style stay exactly the same.

Background swaps work the same way. Try telling Mio.2 “Draw Mio fishing around the world” — same character, same pose, from Iceland to Okinawa, the scene keeps changing but the character never drifts.

Or start from the outfit itself. Tell Mio.2 the style you have in mind — something like “Design a mermaid-inspired gown: ice-blue satin bustier with crystal fringe, a chiffon fishtail skirt that fades from powder blue to pearl white, scattered with rhinestones and silver embroidery.” It’ll generate a full fashion design sheet.

And if you love it, you can put that outfit directly on your character.

Wallpaper-quality illustrations, full-cast group shots, meme expression sets… there’s a lot more to explore. The best way to find out what Mio.2 can do is to just start a conversation.

Gem Usage Rules

Mio.2 includes subscription usage allowances that vary by plan. Two limits apply at the same time: a 6-hour limit and a 7-day limit. As long as your usage stays within your plan’s limits, you can continue generating without using extra Gems.

• Reaching the 6-Hour Limit: Normally, you would need to wait until the next reset period. However, if “Continue After 6-Hour Limit” is enabled, you can keep generating using your remaining weekly allowance without any additional cost.
• Reaching the 7-Day Limit: Once your weekly allowance is fully exhausted, any further activity will automatically utilize your Extra Gems (if available).

Reaching the 6-Hour Limit:

• 6-Hour Windows: Resets four times daily at: 07:00 · 13:00 · 19:00 · 01:00
• 7-Day Limit: Resets every Monday at 07:00.

What About the Old Mio Agent?

After Mio.2 launches, the original Mio will stay accessible for a while so you can finish up any ongoing projects. Over time, Mio.2 will fully take its place.
